In recognition of the high value placed on the privacy of personal information, the combined chapters adopted the following policy in Fall 1999:

Personal information on current and former members, such as address, telephone number, e-mail address, and social security number, shall not be made available to the general public. The chapters shall take reasonable precautions to limit access of this information to active members of our chapters. A person's information will not be placed on our web site or sent out over an e-mail listserv without their permission. The alumni database will not be sold to companies, but may be made available to trustworthy organizations if it benefits the SDSU Bands or the chapters. If a person requests that we restrict some or all of their information, we will honor their request; this applies to giving out the database, publishing an alumni roster, and individual requests for a person's information.

Pursuant to this policy members may set display options for themselves in the Privacy area of their profile.
